Why We Love Our VanLife Campers Van
We often get asked this question, so here’s why our Dechinta (the NOHR model from VanLife Campers) is so exciting for us. Back in 2020, the idea of vanlife started to take shape after watching a promotional video from VanLife Campers. It was love at first sight. The clean design, open cabinets, and warm wood tones immediately reminded us of our sailboat. After watching countless van tours and refining our needs, we knew exactly what we wanted—and when we visited VanLife Campers, every answer was simply “yes.” A few months later, we were starting a whole new life.

1. No propane on board
One of the best features is complete autonomy. Everything runs on electricity or fuel from the main tank, including the Webasto heater. No need to worry about refilling propane while traveling.
2. The “ghost” shower and cassette toilet
The toilet is stored in a front drawer, saving valuable space. When needed, curtains create a private bathroom. The shower setup takes only seconds, and everything is designed to prevent water from spilling.
3. A skylight
The skylight brings in incredible natural light while maintaining insulation. It keeps the van bright without the heat loss or gain of multiple windows—and you can even watch the stars at night.
4. Electrical autonomy
With solar panels and lithium batteries, we have excellent energy independence. Cooking is done on induction plates, and we even have an oven—all without a generator.
Total autonomy changes everything when traveling in a van.
5. A true garage space
Having a dedicated garage means we don’t have to dismantle the bed every day. Everything has its place, and organization becomes much easier.
6. Plenty of storage
Drawers and cabinets are everywhere, making it easy to stay organized even when traveling with a lot of gear.

The bench area creates a real living space inside the van. It’s perfect for relaxing, working, or writing.
8. A raised fridge
It might seem simple, but having the fridge at eye level makes a big difference in everyday comfort.

The van includes a drawer with two bins, making it easy to manage garbage, recycling, and compost while traveling.
