rental
Can I leave my vehicle at your offices during my stay?
You may park your vehicle in one of our spaces indicated by a “VanLife” sign (only one car per rental) when you leave with one of our vans. However, VanLife Campers is not responsible for any incident, theft, or other similar situations (vandalism, flat tire, fire, etc.). Ensure that you do not leave any valuable items in your vehicle while you are away. If possible, we suggest that you find an alternative to avoid leaving your vehicle in our parking lot.
What documents do I need for the rental?
You must have two pieces of valid government-issued photo identification. These include your driver’s license, which must be valid for the entire duration of the rental. Ensure that you have a valid passport if you wish to travel to the United States.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept payment by credit card only for the initial reservation, which you must make through our website. If you wish to add extras to your rental or purchase items from our boutique once on location, you may pay by cash, debit or credit card. The security deposit must be held on a valid credit card in the name of one of the clients on file. We are strict about this for legal reasons. (We do not accept American Express.)
Do we need a special driver’s license to drive your vehicles?
We require only a valid regular class 5 driver’s license. The validity of each license must be approved by the SAAQ before your departure. We will verify this for you.
How many kilometres are included in my package?
The package includes 200 km per rental day.
For example, a 7-day rental will include 1,400 km.Can I add more mileage to my rental package?

Is it possible to add additional days to my initial rental?
This will depend on the availability of the vehicle. Please advise us as soon as possible if you wish to enjoy the vehicle for a longer period.
At what time should I pick up my vehicle and, at what time should I return it?
At the time of rental, you will have the opportunity to choose among available time slots that are convenient for you to take possession of the van. The same applies to the return. You take possession of the vehicle at the time selected when you make your online reservation. It is very important to be on time.
That said, our business hours are:
For taking possession of the vehicle: between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
For returning the vehicle: between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
No departure or return will be made outside of their time slots.
Can I cancel my reservation?
Yes, but fees may apply (see details below). If you must cancel a reservation with us, you must email us at info@vanlifecampers.com. Once we process your request, you will receive a confirmation of cancellation.
Cancellation fee:- Cancellations made within 30 days or more before departure: for all cancellations of reservations valued at $2500 or less, a fee of $175 +txs will be withheld from your refund. For all cancellations of reservations valued at $2501 or more, a fee of 7% of the total value of the reservation (+ txs) will be withheld from your refund.

- No refund: cancellation made seven days or less before the departure date.
Can we see your vehicles before the rental?
We cannot easily anticipate when our vans will be available for visits. Alternatively, we recommend that you watch this short video which provides a better understanding of the vehicle’s installations and operation.
Where can I pick up or return the vehicle?
All stays begin and end at our offices located at 4200 Rue Saint-Patrick, Montréal. To help us manage our departures and returns, please respect the hours mentioned on your reservation confirmation.
Is there a minimum rental period?
The minimum rental period is four days in low season (From October 15th to June 15th) and 7 days in high season (From June 16th to October 14th). (The Ski In Ski Out package, offered in winter, is the only exception to this rule)
Can I rent your vehicles if I will not be 25 years old at the time of my rental?
Our insurance does not cover our vans for drivers under the age of 25, therefore, no exception to this rule is possible.
What justifies the fees for additional drivers?
These fees allow us to open a file with our insurer and ensure that all drivers are adequately covered.
Why do I pay the last day’s full price even if I return the vehicle no later than 3:00 p.m.?
This daily amount includes the hours you still have the vehicle and covers the cleaning costs and time needed after your return.
