Absolutely! Our vans are designed to withstand the extreme cold condition with ease:

Generally speaking, the space is large enough to store 2 bikes. However, depending on the bike model, you may need to remove the front wheels.
Can I use my indoor shower in cold condition?
Yes. The Webasto heating system must be kept on at all times to prevent the plumbing from freezing.
Do your vans have a black water tank?
They do not, thus allowing our customers to use their vans all year round. Our vans are equipped with a gray water tank that can hold up to 65L. We strongly encourage the use of biodegradable soaps and cleaning products at all times.
How does the cartridge toilet work?
Installed in a drawer that is easily stowed away (NOHR, MEA, RAVEN) or in the fixed indoor shower (ELYA, APEX, LIV), they effectively retain odors. The toilet consists of two detachable compartments: the bowl and a retention tank. You can flush the toilet after each use. Once full, take the retention tank and head to a standard toilet to empty it. With its ease of use, this type of toilet is perfect for our four-season vans.

Are your vans 100% autonomous?
Yes. Our vans are equipped with lithium battery(s) that recharge via three ways:
- Vehicle alternator while driving
- Solar panel(s)
- Plugging to shorepower
How many passengers can a van accommodate?
2 to 4 passengers for the NOHR, APEX, FOX and LIV models.
2 to 6 passengers for the MEA and ELYA models. 2 to 5 passengers for the RAVEN model.Can you take my car in exchange?
Absolutely, we offer accommodation services and therefore accept all vehicles. We invite you to contact one of our advisors for more information on the options available to you.
Where can I park my van to sleep?
VanLife Campers has created the VanLife Friendly platform, a subscription service that provides free access to many places to spend the night in your van and offers discounts at local businesses. The subscription also includes access to the Terego platform and a host of other privileges. Plan your itinerary now!
Is there air conditioning in your vans?
Yes, optional air conditioning units, 12V or 120V, are available in our vehicles.
Does your Webasto heating system work at high altitudes?
Our Webasto AIR TOP 2000 watts STC systems work up to an altitude of 5,500 feet. Also, We have the option to install a Webasto EVO 40 that can operate at altitudes of up to 7,200 feet.
What is the fuel consumption of the vehicles?
The RAM Promaster 3500 consumes approximately 14L/100km (regular fuel). The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 cargo 170 consumes approximately 12L/100km (Diesel). The Ford Transit Cargo consumes approximately 13L/100km (regular fuel).
What is the insulation of your vans?
Our vans have R10 wall insulation and R5 floor insulation.
With what materials do you insulate your vans?
The walls of our vans are insulated with rock wool and reflectix bubble wrap, while the floors are insulated with 1-inch high density foam.
At what voltage does the NovaKool refrigerator operate?
The refrigerator operates on 12V power.
On which vehicle model do you work?
We convert RAM Promasters 159 and 159 extended models, as well as Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 170 and Ford Transit Cargo 170.
Can we bring our own vehicle for a partial or full conversion?
Absolutely, if it is one of the following models:
- RAM PROMASTER 2500 159 WB – 19’8″
- RAM PROMASTER 3500 159 XWB – 21′
- SPRINTER CARGO – 170
- FORD TRANSIT
We cannot work on a van if work has already begun (e.g., Webasto heating system already installed, furniture under construction, or any initial interior work). You can find all the necessary information here.
When we buy a Webasto heating system … can we install it ourselves?
Yes, you can install it yourself; however, you will not be entitled to the Webasto warranty. Only Webasto-accredited installers, such as VanLife Campers, can offer you this warranty.
During a half-conversion, is it possible to buy the woodwork?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to buy the woodwork that we install in our full conversions.
Are Ram Promaster available in 4-wheel drive?
No, only our RAVEN and APEX model, built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, can be 4-wheel drive and the FOX built on the Ford Transit.
Can you install a bench in my own vehicle?
Yes, provided that no floor is installed and that you own a Ram Promaster, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter or a Ford Transit.
Can I buy a bench on your online store?
We offer the bench purchase service with installation included. We do not sell benches separately.
Are your conversions modular?
Our various models (MEA, ELYA, NOHR, LIV, FOX, RAVEN, and APEX) have specific basic configurations. However, once you have determined the model that suits you, it is possible to add additional modules and select various options to optimize your conversion.
What is included in your conversions?
Each model is equipped with essential elements to ensure good self-sufficiency, such as the electrical system, a water tank, and a recharging device. For a full list of equipment and specific features of each model, please refer to the detailed model sheet under the Options and Specifications tab.
Do you offer AWD models?
Yes, the APEX and RAVEN models based on a Mercedes-Sprinter chassis are available with AWD and the FOX based on the Ford Transit chassis.
Do you offer a warranty on vehicle conversions?
Yes, VanLife Fabrication honors a five-year warranty on the entire layout, limited exclusively to the components manufactured by VanLife Campers, as of the date the layout is marketed. Accessories added to VanLife Campers chassis by outside suppliers are warranted by these outside installers. Conditions apply. Full details on request.
Do you offer a winterization and de-winterization service?
Yes, we offer winterization and de-winterization services at our two locations in Montreal and Quebec City. For more information, click here.
What are the alternatives to cassette/portable toilets?
You can also replace the cassette/portable toilet with an optional Dry Flush toilet. The Dry Flush toilet is a waterless, chemical-free toilet that uses a hermetic sealing system to wrap waste.
Do you offer color options for the vans?
Yes, we offer several exterior color options for our vans. Specific choices may vary depending on the model and availability. For more details, please contact one of our representatives to find out about the available options.
How does the hidden shower curtain dry?
The curtain is made from Gore-Tex, a waterproof material that dries very quickly. You can simply leave it to dry in place for a few minutes before storing it or wipe it down.
Do you use propane in the vehicles?
No. Our vans are powered by electricity through solar panels and lithium batteries. The Webasto heating system is fueled directly by the vehicle’s gasoline.
What’s the difference between the hidden shower and the fixed shower?
The hidden shower, an innovation by VanLife Campers, discreetly folds into a drawer at floor level, which doubles as a shower tray with an integrated drain. A Gore-Tex curtain attaches directly to the van’s ceiling to create the shower space.
The fixed shower, on the other hand, is a private bathroom with a cassette toilet. It also serves as a closet, perfect for drying your wet outdoor gear.
What are the bed dimensions in the vans?
In the LIV, MEA, NOHR, and ELYA models built on the Ram Promaster chassis, the vehicles are equipped with double beds. The APEX and RAVEN models, based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis, have queen beds and so does the FOX model based on the Ford Transit.
